About
8 Years of Experience
Top 0.01% Performing Tutor
I built my career as an EFL tutor and English education and language specialist with Ringle, a Korean eduTech start-up that I've been tutoring with and working for since 2018.
In 2020, I became the first tutor to join the Ringle team, following my unrivaled performance on the platform. As its Tutor Relations Manager, I entirely overhauled the platform's tutor education process and resources, leading to student disapproval for new tutors dropping from 3% to just 0.3%. Still today, all tutors joining the Ringle platform are trained using the materials I created.
As a Ringle tutor, I taught over 5000 lessons and was in the top 0.01% of all tutors on the platform according to both review scores and Ringle's internal performance metrics. I also led educational webinars on English grammar to both Ringle tutors and students, and book club webinars for both junior and adult learners.
Simply put, over the last 8 years, I have honed my expertise as an EFL tutor and English language and education specialist to the point that I am now able to offer an unparalleled tutoring experience.

English Conversation
50 minutes | £27/lesson £25 until 31/03/2026
Over the course of 50 minutes, we'll have a fluid and natural discussion, throughout which I'll paraphrase your English both verbally and in writing on the Google Doc. Unless you indicate that you'd like to have a more even-handed conversation, I'll create space for you to talk as much as possible by asking open ended questions about the topic. Depending on your preferences, I'll either provide comprehensive feedback on your English after each question, or more selective feedback in the final 10-15 minutes of the lesson.

English Writing
50 minutes | £27/lesson £25 until 31/03/2026
Over the course of 50 minutes, we'll collaboratively correct, edit, and refine a text that you have written. After discussing your intentions for the text, and your current concerns, I'll make changes to it to improve its accuracy, sophistication, clarity, and efficiency. As we're moving through the text, I'll explain the changes that I'm making and how they improve the quality of your communication, while also providing you with strategies to implment these sorts of changes in your own independent writing. These lessons will often differ depending on the text you choose to focus on. If you share your resume, for example, we'll focus on ensuring it emphasizes your core competencies and adheres to a Western format. Alternatively, if you upload an academic essay, we'll examine how you can use structure to support the logical clarity and strength of your argument, often while also being mindful of a word limit. You should expect to cover around 300-500 words in one lesson.

My Approach to Teaching
As a tutor, I pride myself in offering a highly tailored approach to lesson format and feedback. Each lesson with a new student begins with a discussion about their goals and the challenges they're experiencing as a language learner. With this information in hand, I then shape the lesson around the student's needs, offering ample written and spoken feedback throughout.
My teaching style is rigorous but warm. I leverage my degree in English from the University of Cambridge to offer detailed and specific corrections and feedback regarding linguistic accuracy, sophistication, and best-practice communication strategies.
I also, however, recognise how tough it can be to learn a new language. I myself lived and studied in France for three years despite being a very poor French speaker, so I know how intimidating it can be to talk with native speakers! As such, I lead with compassion and ensure every lesson is a judgement-free environment, so you can learn and experiment with new language and structures with zero risk of failure.
